Antonio Dumas, a prestigious, intellectual, sophisticated, though also rather cynical and conceited art historian and cultural manager, is appointed director of an important museum of modern art in Madrid after winning a contest for that position. In this new position he will have to deal with a variety of different circumstances and conflicts, which range from trade union problems and political pressures to surreal situations involving exhibitions and artists, in the midst of the unusual fauna that inhabits the art world.

When Gonzalo Torregrosa, owner and founder of Torregrosa Funeral Home, passes away, Dámaso Carrillo, his right-hand man in the company, doesn’t hesitate that the best for the business is taking the reins himself. However, against all odds, Nieves, the septuagenarian widow, decides to take the lead in the family business, with the assistance of her inept yet enthusiastic son-in-law, Chemi, a Marketing expert, and in defiance of her daughters’ plans to close the Funeral Home and start a gym. While Dámaso conspires and manipulates his colleagues against the new management, the company will face competition from Transitus Funeral Services and their expansion plans, as well as a #MeToo case that threatens Gonzalo Torregosa’s legacy.

The noise that surrounds Berta and José Ramón comes from their in-laws (Berta’s parents) -always present -, the sister-in-law (Berta’s sister) – sibling rivalry -, Jose Ramon’s mother – a free spirit but very consuming –, the neighbor – a despicable being who live wall-to-wall, the ones from the kindergarten, the security guards, the ones from the bar, the neighbors, the shopkeepers, the friends of the in-laws, the friends of the mother-in-law, the friends of the friends, the old friends, the new friends… A lot of noise, too much noise. If they could turn it off…
