Amparo Seoane, who has been in office as mayor for far too long, the most powerful woman in the area, is murdered. Investigating the crime will become an obsession for Maite, a Civil Guard sergeant, and for Tomás, the only witness of the murder. For Maite, finding the murderer is not just a professional duty, but also a moral one, as her vocation is to protect people.
